How To Cancel Telkom Landline South Africa
Canceling your Telkom Landline might seem technical but it’s very simple. Initially, the cancellation was done through an E-mail cancellation request, however, this method has been phased out completely and therefore the process must be done online.
Note that, when you submit a cancellation request, you will be informed about any penalties that might apply. You must agree to pay these penalties before the cancellation can proceed.
In a case where you don’t have a profile, you will need to register first. Click on the Register button and follow the steps of registration. Note that, Telkom Landline cancellations require a 30-day notice period. To cancel your Telkom service online, follow these steps.
- With your username and password, a user can log in to their Telkom profile on the Telkom website
- Navigate your mouse cursor to “Manage Account” once you have logged in.
- Navigate your mouse to the account that you wish to cancel.
- Click on Cancel.

How Long Does It Take For Cancellation Request To Be Processed
After fulfilling all the cancellation request requirements, if there are no penalties, Telkom will proceed with the cancellation.
The online cancellation process means you’ve given Telkom a cancellation notice, which runs for 30 days. It doesn’t mean it will be canceled within 30 days.
Your request will be processed within 7 days and you will be sent your normal bill for that month. The final bill will be sent to you in about 60 days, when your bill is fully settled, that’s when the contract will officially end.
Usually, it takes up to 60 days for the entire cancellation process to be completed. When you submit your contract termination form online, it goes through a series of processes to arrive at the final stage.

- Day 1: The subscriber has to submit his/her cancellation form and other supporting required documents
- Day +/- 7: The cancellation is processed by Telkom alongside the supporting documents.
- Normal bill: Telkom sends a regular bill to the client as the cancellation request is processed.
- Day 30: Telkom finalizes the cancellation order marking the end of a 30-day notice.
- Day 60: This is the day the subscriber will be given the entire bill. Once he or she pays, the cancellation is completed
